Gandhian Praxis & Vision
Exploring Gandhi's ecological, moral, and social praxis as a framework for rethinking modern civilisation itself.
A GRF Research Initiative
On Gandhian Perspectives, Dharampal's Civilisational Renewal, and Indian Knowledge Systems [IKS]
Why TRIVENI? Why Now?
Modern education and research stand at a crossroads. While analytical rigour has advanced, we risk losing touch with ethical imagination and historical self-understanding. TRIVENI emerges from the recognition that knowledge cannot remain rooted in borrowed categories and imported paradigms; it must grow from the ethical and ecological frameworks of our own civilisation.
At a time when questions of sustainability, social justice, and civilisational identity demand urgent attention, TRIVENI offers a pathway towards Swaraj in Research - nurturing inquiry that is at once reflective, responsible and regenerative. By bringing together Gandhian moral philosophy, Dharampal's empirical historical insights, and India's classical knowledge systems, TRIVENI creates a space where archives converse with lived realities, and reflection leads into experiment.
This is not merely an academic initiative; it is a movement for research and renewal - seeking to transform both Bharat and ourselves through rediscovery of our own intellectual and lived heritage.
The Sangam at GRF
The Gandhi Research Foundation serves as the institutional Sangam (confluence) where the three streams of TRIVENI meet. Founded by Shri Bhavarlal Jain (Bade Bhau), the GRF embodies the conviction that enduring social transformation begins with inner change.
As a beacon for ethical research, Gandhian living, and sustainable practice, the GRF provides both the spirit and infrastructure necessary for TRIVENI's mission of civilisational renewal.
